The foundation of Thriving Minds’ Sport Coaching is rooted in personal experience. Founder Mike Pascoe, a Human Performance Coach and lifelong endurance athlete, understands the pressures athletes face—because he’s lived them.
 

Mike began competing in endurance sports in 2002, driven by passion and a commitment to excel. But like many athletes, his journey was interrupted by injuries. In 2006, a debilitating injury forced him to reevaluate not just his own training, but his entire coaching philosophy.

What seemed like a setback turned out to be a gift. Mike realized that no athlete, no matter how dedicated, can reach their full potential if they are sick, injured, or burned out. This epiphany led to the creation of a recovery-focused, longevity-driven coaching philosophy—one that empowers athletes to thrive in sport and life.
