Women Will Never Be Equal to Men

It is not that Women are not equal to Men, it is that I believe Men will never be equal to Women, and here are some examples from my perspective of why I believe this to be true:
📢 When my mother passed away in 1993, I quickly learned that men and women were not made equal.
💡I learned that:
💙 When my mom died, so did my history. My dad knew nothing about the details of my past as my mom did.
💙 Moms are the glue of the household; everything falls apart when they are no longer present.
💙 My mother was the glue that kept all of us together. She never tolerated the squabbling between my sister and me, even as adults.
💙A mom can do everything above and still be a hard-working professional who went on to win awards for excellence in her work while still being amazing at every other part of her life.
💙My Dad was never capable of doing what my Mom did.
📢 When I began coaching athletes in 2003.
💡 I quickly learned that:
💙 Women have an incredible desire to learn: 9 out of 10 people I coach are women. I have chalked it up to women being more open to learning and taking direction than men. They know what they want and seek ways to understand how to get it, and ultimately don’t let anything get in their way.
💙 While women may take longer to decide to take on an athletic challenge, it is not usually because of a lack of confidence, but rather a guilt for doing something for themselves as they are used to giving, not taking.
💙 Once empowered (by herself), a woman is unstoppable. She will start off doing a sprint triathlon and will be aiming for an Ironman the next season
💙 A female athlete can do everything! The women I coach are balancing being a mother, grandmother, wife, professional, and a high-performing athlete... all without a single flinch or complaint.
💙My Male athletes accomplish incredible things but never have to do the same sacrifices that my female athletes must do to get the same results.
💡I believe this tenacity, commitment, and fight I have witnessed for most of my life will one day get women what they want, and deserve.
💙Let women's voices be heard louder and clearer
💙Get women paid equally
💙Stop women from being the target of harassment, discrimination, and violence.
💙 Get women to be recognized as a strength, not a weakness when creating diversity in a workplace.
💙And much more!
📢 My promise to all Women, and all humans, this month, and every month, is to continue to support and fight for all of you in any way I can to ensure that you get everything you deserve to bring your Incredible Self, Voice, and Potential to the World
❤️ Keep up with your tenacity and keep being amazing!
